If you are looking for a trustworthy and reliable builder then look no further. My wife and I downsized from a large family house to our much smaller modern semi but soon realised we needed to make the kitchen a large kitchen dinner, the main bedroom a master bedroom with en-suite and generally bring the house up to date. That was six years ago. We went through the same problems as everyone one else who wants major building work completed. How do you find a good builder that you have confidence in, someone who will not cut corners and provide an excellent job at a competitive price? We had heard about Andy and asked him to quote for the work. He took and showed us work he had already completed and we spoke with his customers directly. In the end it wasn’t a difficult decision and we employed him to do our work. He spent a lot of time with us talking through many of the issues that needed to be addressed, plans, local authority requirements and scheme of work. It certainly reinforced our confidence in him and we were happy we had made the right choice.

What has Andy done for us? The first stage was to extend the whole of the gable end of the house, ground floor, first floor and roof. The new kitchen dinning area was then fitted out to provide us with a modern fitted kitchen with plenty of power outlets, modern spot lighting, laminate flooring and a new combination boiler. The new master bedroom was fitted with more accessible sockets and spot lighting and a stud partition wall enabled the installation of the en-suite shower and toilet facilities together with a walk in wardrobe. The next stage was double glazing replacement throughout. It gave us more efficient glazing, no more droughty wooden frames to paint and much more secure doors and windows. So pleased were we with his work the next stage was a new conservatory which was finished to the same high standard as all his previous work. He has certainly turned what was a small tired modern box into a larger modern home to be proud of and a pleasure to live in.

Over the years Andy has become more than just our builder and we have developed a friendship. I’ve always been sceptical of testimonials that I read on web sites but if you need to be further convinced then arrange with Andy to come and see it for yourself.
